I’m Dalmiro Oviedo, the founder of Kirsty Interiors. Growing up in a family that valued hard work and tradition, I was always inspired by the history and skills passed down through generations. Although my parents were in engineering and marketing, my grandmother's fervent knitting was the reason my passion for textiles ignited.
My journey into the world of textile design began in Bogota, Colombia where I was captivated by the innovative techniques and unconventional materials used by different craftsmen and artists at the time. This sparked my curiosity and set me on a path to explore the endless possibilities of textile art around the world including New York City. I was able to grow my skills and intertwine them to write a new vision, Kirsty Interiors (KI).
